Disciples Women's Purpose
To provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education, and creative ministries, to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the Church of Jesus Christ.
Joy Fellowship
We meet the fourth Tuesday of each month in the church parlor at 7 pm. All women are invited to come for fellowship and a short lesson.
School Supplies and Clothing collected by the Disciples Women Fellowship
During the months of June and July the Disciples Women collected school supplies for Colvin Elementary School in Plainview. They collected: 12 Elmer’s glue sticks; 5 12” rulers; 5 6” protractors; 2 packages of colored pencils; 3 packages of eraser caps; 4 boxes Bic pens; 32 spiral notebooks; 8 boxes Crayola Broadline Markers; 2 pencil sharpeners; 21 4 oz bottles of Elmer’s glue; 28 2-pocket folders; 21 boxes of 24 count Crayolas; 138 #2 pencils; 6 2-pocket folders; 8 packs loose paper; 5 pairs of scissors and 7 back packs.
In August they collected underwear and socks to be given to Lincoln Elementary School. In all they collected: 40 pairs of little girls panties; 22 pair of boys underwear; and 42 pairs of socks.
